you delay going to the grocery store until every shred of cereal, piece of pasta, and ounce of peanut butter has been consumed by the kids
you rent a bunch of movies, fully expecting to watch them the first night...
...and you succeed, indulging your night owl tendencies that are usually tempered by his early bird leanings

when you look at the clock at 7 pm, you are positive that it is broken, sure that it must be

you contemplate changing every clock in the house to make your bedtime wishes come true
your heart leaps every time the phone rings, just like when you were dating
you wake up in the middle of the night with way too many pillows surrounding you + have to throw a bunch overboard in disgust

the most common question in the house is "when is dad coming home?" {the answer is: soon but not soon enough}
