A new level of awesomeness
When I was little, I used to spend summer mornings planning out elaborate, choreographed numbers to my parents' Barry Manilow records. Think "You Know I Can't Smile Without You" or "Copacabana" and you will maybe be able to faintly see and hear a group of 4 or 5 kids acting out the words and performing with much more heart than talent. If we ran out of songs before we ran out of energy, we'd move on to Neil Diamond or even Ricky Tanner.
I'm a little worried that some of our awesome moves were stolen for this video. A bit spooky, really. Have a good laugh!

That is so funny! I did the same thing with my siblings as a kid. The favorite records were Barry Manilow, Karen Carpenter and Fiddler on the Roof. Quite the range of genres but we loved them all.
Mmmwwwaaahhh! That is so funny. I did not think it was possible to choreograph such BAD dancing moves all in sync. I, too, spent way too many hours of my youth dancing to Barry. Still love him. I know. I'm a freak.
I am passionate in my love for Barry, too. Also the Carpenters and Tony Orlando and Dawn. Oh, and the Captain and Tenille. This was fantastic!!!
Oh, we laughed. Those 80's moves and the most distracting, by-committee, choreography I've ever seen. So intrusive, with the arm-pumps and sort of interruptive formations a la half-time entertainment/college dance ensemble/dance-a-tronics presentation. You can almost hear the group brainstorming, "Hey, I know, how about we throw in this fetching move for about sixteen bars, then segue into an arm-pump train formation, followed by a free-form Martha Graham/pep rally thing (although I don't think they would know who Martha Graham was.) We had to watch it again. I can see them each at home in front of their respective mirrors, totally in love with the moves and grooves. And the singers - well, the guy's so cheesy! Thanks for that. Love, Ma
