Captain Underpants is my favorite.
I enjoyed seeing the Book Parade Annie. Sam looks great. I am not familiar with The Lightening Thief books. Will have to google them.
I will e-mail you a picture of Jessica a few years ago. She is a Hermione lookalike!

love this! And my boys adore Percy Jackson too. We need to hook up our boys on Good Reads.
This just makes me very happy. I remember being there during one of the Book Parade events. As you wrote, God bless these teachers who light this kind of fire and keep the magic in our children's lives. Love the Atticus Finch piece, too. Isn't he just the dearest fictional man? He reminds me of my dad.
What a fun event. I if I weren't also closing that chapter this year I would suggest it to our elementary school. I attended my last state report after nine years at the school. Sad but ready to move on.
He is JUST how I picture Percy. I will pass this onto McKay, who is Percy's number one fan. (We're heading down next week to a Riordan book signing. He's seriously obsessed).
What a cute idea. Wish our school did something like that.
Oh! I love the book parade too. In this school, however, parents are NOT INVITED! (What!) It sucks. It's on my list of reasons why we do not love the schools here...
And growing up is SO HARD for the mommy. I completely agree.
