Lift
I was delighted to read today that Kelly Corrigan's new book, Lift, comes out next week. I had no idea--what a happy surprise. (I loved the Middle Place, didn't you?)
You can even go hear her in person: see book tour dates here. Hey locals: she'll be in Acton next Friday. Join me?

p.s. I didn't get paid at all for that plug. I just like her, that's all.
That's great news! I loved The Middle Place and will be watching for Lift. I'm going away this weekend or I'd try to join you.
I laughed when I watched the video clip. How many times have I said "no" when neither "yes" nor "no" work as answers? Then I cried when I read the except. Mothering seems to be the constant fight between relishing the cozy, the funny, the buoying-each-other-up and the family-as-refuge moments with the dirty business of keeping children safe and helping them progress, running a home, meeting [too] many obligations and wretched science fair projects. I long to create and seize many more opportunities of tenderness, laughter and connection with these blessed souls I call my kids... if I don't kill them first!
did I know about this? No!
am I excited? YES! YES! & YES!
love her.
What is it about that woman that always reduces me to tears? Cannot wait for that book. Will be the first in line at my Borders.
gab sent me that book a few months back and i loved it. which reminds me, i've been meaning to tell her how much i enjoyed it. i have two coworkers fighting over who gets to borrow it first. thanks for the heads up on the new release... i can't wait to read it and then create more friction at work.
I'm excited! But her first one will be hard to top!
You always share the best stuff, and I am definitely going to check this out now! Thanks!
Went right online and ordered this from amazon. Looking forward to it!
