You are Home

I made a little sign for Lauren when she came home for Christmas.
In my head it read like this:  you are HOME!!

but when I noticed that sometimes she slipped and said "when I get back home..." (meaning college)
I mentally read it like this: you ARE home!!

. . .

Her second semester of school starts today.
Good luck, Lulu! Here's to an invigorating and studious term :)

And another option: YOU are home. (Interpret however you wish: YOU make home what it is. Home is inside of YOU, wherever you and your heart and soul go.)

Love you,
Matt

She looks so grown-up.

I was just talking with a friend yesterday of that bittersweet time when they come home for the holidays for college. They think they're now guests; you think "HOORAY! They're home!" I am not sure I am looking forward to it as much now. Can't they just stay how they are? Forever?

P.S. Technically, I also think of her room as MY guest suite. Love the sign. :-)

Matt, I like your option best of all.
