Blowing his top

Last night the Volcan Fuego erupted here in Antigua. We looked out at the darkening sky around 6 and saw a vivid red glow in the distance, which grew and dimmed and grew again as we watched. The locals here have told us that it's the biggest eruption for over 25 years. It was amazing. We could see the hot lava bursting up in plumes and then flowing down the side of the volcano. Apparently 3 villages were being evacuated just in case but no one has been injured. {p.s. we're about 20-30 miles away from the volcano...a perfectly safe distance.}

Okay, if you can SEE the volcanic lava, are you sure you're safe? Did they tell you in Spanish or English?

Just kidding - I'm sure you're fine. How awesome to add volcano eruptions to your already exciting vacay...
