Floral philosophy
I don't smoke.
I don't chew.
I don't do drugs.
I don't go to therapy (yet).
I don't get facials (yet).
I don't ski (any more).
I rarely get a massage (but they're bliss, I tell you.)
I don't spend copious amounts of $ on shoes.
I mostly get books from the library
rather than buy them.
So...
I feel justified
in buying fresh flowers
every week
in the winter.
It just makes life better.
More tolerable. Brighter.
I know this is true.
The end.
How do you cope with the winter blahs?

Your floral therapy is spilling over on me. Thanks for the brightness. I just bout an orchid yesterday--we'll see if it can get me through till spring. And Abraham Lincoln--he must have a nice cozy spot in your subconscious!
I think I need to do that. I've had some lovely flowers on my desk since V-day and just looking at them has made me very happy. Excellent idea, friend.
That is a great way to justify it. I always am happier at home when there are fresh flowers on the table. I have no recommendations for beating the winter blahs. Except go on vacation. But you just did that.
I love this post! Yes...buying fresh flowers is a great way to fight off winter depression.
I've been taking fish oil instead...gross!... and I don't even know if it's working.
That is one of the best ideas I have ever heard of. One that I think I am going to have to incorporate into my life.
Seriously great idea!
What a great idea, I live through the cold with hot chocolate every day, it's a must.
Oh so pretty! I'm afraid I don't much cope. I just stay inside on my computer and pretend that it's warm. :)
