It's amazing...
...what a little paint did to boost my love of our house.
Best Change to your Home .09 | Exterior paint (finally!)
The original colors weren't bad, they just weren't *us* and I've been planning on changing them ever since moving in two+ years ago. This summer we finally made the change and couldn't be happier. We chose a gold-yellow and a light cream/yellow for trim, with black rimming the windows + black doors and garage door (eventually we'll replace the door with a vintage wood one with a warm finish). It's classic and warm and looks good in the bare winter and the lush summer. (Benjamin Moore custom paint mixed by our friendly neighborhood paint shop.)

Love it.
Especially the black-rimmed windows.
Nice.
Ohhhh. I like it a lot. I think the trim is especially nice.
It looks FANTASTIC! I love your house. Love your neighborhood. It's so charming and quaint. Excellent color choices, my friend.
What a difference. So warm and welcoming.
We painted our house this year too. It's the same khaki color we had before. But fresh. Now today I am heading to the Macy's Lancome counter for my own holiday renovation. Keep your fingers crossed!
p.s. Your house matches you. Sunny and inviting!
What a beautiful home. I love the details.
I wanted a brighter color for our home but the planning committee wouldn't go for it, it is still the most brightly colored home up here but...I suppose that you have to blend in with the homogeneity of the mountain home. They threw a fit about my bright red door and I gave them a lecture about all of the specs that they enabled investors to build around me which now have brought my home to a 3rd of the value of my cost and they quickly changed their tune, so at least I have my bright red door.
