Relearned
Things I seem to relearn over and over:
- Be here now
- Take pictures more often
- Washing my hair is really a daily must...I always regret it when I talk myself out of it
- Ditto making my bed, prayer, exercise, and writing something
- Say yes when you can
- Spinach smoothies in the morning make me feel extra sparkly
- It's a good idea to doublecheck that the lid is on the blender
- Enthusiasm trumps coolness. I cannot look at this picture of Maddy (~1998) without giggling out loud at her blatant, over-the-top, dress-up enthusiasm. Not to be outdone, girl knew how to sport a bandana and a row of elastics like nobody's business:
What have you relearned lately?

Oh, Annie. That made me LOL (Laugh out loud? Leave out [the] lemon? Literally open lids?).
By the way, I promise I'm not blog-stalking you - I think we both have freed up time, which means more blog posts and more of me reading them!
Love you,
Matt
Annie--I just caught up on your blog after a bit and saw you are movie to AUSTRALIA! Whoo hoo! I think it is wonderful! I keep hoping Chris will have a chance to work somewhere abroad and we can take it. Ohh, I am so excited for you and your family. Well done! Way to Go! And all those other things :) Can't wait to hear more of your adventures. And I'm extra excited you will be a little outside of the big city--a little bit more local flair hopefully. I would keep going with this comment but I think it would result in just a bunch more exclamation points SO, again, happy happy for you. Hope the move all goes well. Emily. (one of these days I might just get some more info up on our blog . . .
I love this! When I see this picture, I see how fast time flies and it fills me with a slight sense of fear, slight sense of urgency, realizing my time is short and I better not screw this whole parenting thing up.
Your blog always makes me happy, Annie!! Australia or not. But Australia just sort of adds to the whole. Your enthusiasm has made you cool.
That picture rocks. As does Maddie's early and obvious fashion sense. She's still got it today, even if the bandana is replaced by her uber chic messy buns, and the rubber bands now take the form of cool jewelry. She's the bomb.
How come I learn really well late at night that a lot of sweets hurt my tummy? Yet I can never remember it when I'm shoving them down my gob at 8 p.m.? UGH.
